The success of The Big Dog Walk

in aid of National Military Working Dogs Memorial Charity

The success of the big dog walk

The National Military Working Dogs Memorial held their inaugural Big Dog Walk on Sunday 30th August 2020 to raise vital funds to build the UK’s first memorial to commemorate the lives of those working dogs who served for the UK Armed Forces.

We held four organised dog walks across the country in North Wales, Scotland, Lincolnshire and the North West.

The North Wales walk started from the charity HQ at the Pet Cemetery in Holywell and took a very scenic route around the beautiful village of Brynford. The walkers and their four-legged friends were spoilt by both the weather and views and managed to see across the Clwydian Range over to Snowdonia and Snowdon itself.

The North Walians raised well over £500 from their walk with similar amounts being raised across the other walks. The result being we managed to raise over £1000 from the Big Dog Walk.

If you have any pictures from your Big Dog Walk then we would love for you to be able to share them with us.

If you didn’t manage to attend one of the walks but still want to help then you can donate directly by clicking here.
