Two weeks ago the best friend that I have ever had left this world. On 6th August 2020 at 16:15 Storm (also known as Bumble Bee), took her final breath as vets and nurses tried their very hardest to save her. This has come as a catastrophic shock to the team and has sent shockwaves across the working dog community.
Storm was known as Bumble Bee due to the lengths that she went to protect me. Waking me up at all hours when I was unwell and warning off intruders. She achieved so much in the 8 and a half years she was by my side including a PDSA Award, Warrior Award, Bravery Award to name a few. She was outgoing, fun, silly, playful, funny, kind and exceptionally loyal. She taught me so many things; strength, determination, the meaning of courage – all of these things that I will now have to find in order to continue my life without her because that, to me, is unimaginable. I am still trying to understand the world without Storm.
